Steering Committee
This group started DFA-Marin after the Presidential Election in 2004. Meetings were fashioned after the MeetUps that were popular during that election. Many people worked on the commitee over the years, devising interesting programs, finding meeting spaces, bringing food and beverages to meetings, manning the swag table, providing technical services, creating announcements, flyers, and banners. Carole Simon Mills and Pat Kunstenaar have served as co-chairs for
the past five years. Other members past and present include: Leon Kunstenaar, technical issues and database; Ina Tabibian, Communications; Eileen Seidman, Public Relations and hostess par excellence; Marti Roush, Membership; Royanne Florence; Membership; Mary Renaud, Take Back Red California and MeetUp; Christine Dewey, MeetUp; Evelyn Woo, 6th AD and DCCM Liason; Larry Rose,
Environmental Health; Arlen Serber, Treasurer and Swag-Woman;
Dolly Verrue,
Secretary; Mayme and Jay Hubert, Take Back Red California;
Marjorie Sturtevant, MeetUp; Sherry Healy, Election Reform.

Take Back Red California
Marin County progressive Democrats have joined together in this committee to make contacts with Democratic Party activists in Republican Congressional Districts and red counties. The goal is to develop personal relationships with
rural Democrats, work under the direction of their local leaders to support candidates, and achieve Democratic victories.

Environmental Health
A clear priority of DFA should be a bold attack on destructive Republican environmental policies. This committee will network with major environmental organizations to develop a clear uncompromising position on these issues.
Several programs have been presented by this committee that have brought
local environmental problems before our audiences.

Election Reform
Our Election Reform Committee is dedicated to ensuring that Marin County's voting systems have transparency from the moment a person registers through
to final tabulation of the vote. Our mission is to educate, demonstrate and legislate, and we are a founding member of the California Election Protection Network–over 29 citizen organizations across California–working together to achieve our common election integrity goals.
